Rose GalleryArresting photographs for captive eyes ![]() A constant bevy of decisive moments are to be had at this Bergamot backbone.Photographs are said to democratize the world by flattening it out into prints, but not everyone wielding a camera can exhibit intuition for the art of photography. Luckily, for over a decade and a half, in her open, airy space, Rose Shoshana has been able to find and exhibit the camera-savvy among us. The artists on the Rose Gallery roster include Martin Parr, observer-provocateur of the British middle class; master architectural photographer Robert Polidori; atmospheric auteur Todd Hido; color maverick William Eggleston and Sylvia Plachy, a regular photography contributor to The New Yorker. The gallery also fosters a healthy collection of vintage photographs, including prints by Dorothea Lange and Mexican photography legend Manuel Alvarez Bravo, whose work is a photographic feast. —Melissa Lo![]()
