For Once, You'll Like Getting 86'ed

OK, let's get this straight.   Steve Adelman's new Hollywood speakeasy, 86 is not open to the public...yet.  If you've heard rumblings about 86 being open, you've heard wrong...kind of.

Presently slated as a dining house/nightclub, the highly anticipated 86 is open - but ONLY for private events and holiday parties until its grand opening in early 2008.  So basically, 86 is open for the "I threw a party at 86 before it was even open" crowd.  We got a sneak peak at the space earlier this month at 86's first private party and, once it's open to the public, we know where we'll be spending many of our Hollywood nights.

Located just down the street from mega-clubs Opera & Crimson, 86 has made its home in the historic Hillview building on the corner of Hollywood & Hudson.  How fitting - seeing as how the Hillview housed Rudolph Valentino's speakeasy during the Prohibition era.  Live musicians will entertain diners and drinkers on the small stage above the dining area.  The soon-to-be destination hotspot will also, of course, host promoter heavy nights with world class DJs.  (Word on the street, Jenn Laskey and The Alliance already have nights lined up)

The general public will have to wait until early next year to get 86'ed, but if you want to be able to say you partied at 86, the sure-to-be hotspot before it was hot, then contact Jenn Laskey at jenn@86hollywood.com for all special event/private party info.
