Sia By The Sea

No longer satisfied with the eastern breezes of Santa Monica, KCRW has announced it will be heading west(er) with a new series of upcoming benefit shows at the Malibu Performing Arts Center.

The intimate, 500-seat venue is located a few minutes south of Mel’s Moonshadows and doubles as a “state of the art recording studio.”  Each of the upcoming events will include a Morning Becomes Eclectic type interview and live concert.

Zero 7 vocalist and station favorite, Sia, will launch the three-night series with a cozy performance on April 24, following the early ’08 release of her fourth solo success, Some People Have Real Problems (Hear Music).

The price of admission includes a pre-party before the show, and possibly a few white-gloved, neon, dancing, smiley-face, flower-heads.  KCRW members can buy tickets on March 18, while the general public (cough, moochers) have to wait another two days to lay down $150.
