Fresh Cappuccino With A Mocha Twist

With an Interscope deal, swanky management, and love from local blogs, New Orleans duo The Knux, have relocated their throwback, hip-hop happenings to Hollywood, and are poised to make a break for the big time.

Brothers Krispy Kream and Rah Al Millio performed at an intimate showcase last Wednesday at The Echo, and LA.com was there to witness the transformation of an indie rock temple into a rapper’s paradise.  The show was passionately presented by local legend Jeff Weiss, and enraptured fans and eager newcomers were fixed on the stage, watching every mellow move and following the easy vibe.

Steph, our Nightlife Editor, thinks their exceptional single “Cappuccino,” sounds a little like her favorite Camp Lo ditty from 7th grade, while I hear a tinkly Super Mario Bros. time warp in the intro.  Clearly we’re both right as the track makes me want to sway coolly despite my white jewishness.  So there.

Obviously if you think they are "rappers talking about coffee" You know nothing about Hip Hop/rap. Listen to the Lyrics buddy and then listen to real old skool Hip Hop instead of the water down bling and money rap.
