Amanda Overmeyer, We Harley Knew You

What can I say, child.  Child, you know we love you, child.  In those Beetlejuice pants, lord, and those fancy dance moves, I say now.  You sing it like it is, mama, and I'm so sad to see you go, child.  But now child, at least you won't have to be leashed, child, to the Top 10 tour after Idol finishes, lord.  Lord child honey child lord.  Drag city, but not really because you'll be fine, child.

In honor of Ms. Overmeyer's unjust ousting, I have made this creepy Wall Of Amanda to preserve the memory of her Idol days.

Will this southern biker babe go back to her wild, nursing ways.  Will she continue to play chicken on the freeway with semi trucks?  Will she ever scat again in public?  Will I ever find the real review I wrote for this episode?  Time will tell, child.

So who's going to mentor our precious Top 10 ducklings?  I'm glad you asked.  Say hello to the Season 7 mentors!

*** Dolly Parton ***

*** Mariah Carey ***

*** Andrew Lloyd Webber ***

*** Neil Diamond ***

Here is a preview of what we can expect...

Dolly will teach Chikezie to sing Jolene.  Mariah will outfit the girls with tube tops to wear as skirts, and then lock the ladies in the green room as not to be out-diva’d on stage.  ALW-week will showcase the best group-sing ever when the remaining Idols dress up as Cats and roll around the stage (Rumpleteazer is going all the way to finals.  I just KNOW it!).  And the super Diamond himself is doing it Wonka style, and will hand down to one worthy contestant the secret of long-lasting swagger and chest hair.  Brooke White, I’m looking in your direction.

Now, in actual SPOILER news, the internets are spewing chatter about a "No. 11" wild card space for the post show, American Idol Tour.  Looks like they’ll be doing a double vote one of these nights and the one with the most beans will get a coveted spot on the tour bus.  Why does this really matter?  Money honey.  A lot of it.

Next week, the password theme is...  Songs From The Year They Were Born.  I guess that's why they didn't bother with 90s week.  Of course, most of the lil ones have been voted off already.  Which means it all falls on Archuleta.  I think his version of Civil War from Use Your Illusion II will be truly groundbreaking.  Oh yes.  Dream with me.
