Mammoth resort goes 365 and gases you up
Remember in college, the douche bag that would bum a ride back home and then, during the ride things'd get cloudy and he'd bolt without pitching for gas? Us either, but any gas money in these frowny-faced
economic times is like gold.Schlepping to Mammoth Mountain to hit the reset button just got a little easier at the Westin Monache Resort. When you stay for two nights (at $174 per for a truly deluxe suite) you get a $50 credit at checkout for the ride home. Or for the spa, restaurant or the local attractions. Summer at Mammoth, you may ask? Believe it or not -- under all that yummy snow -- is a slew of outdoor activities (again, their spa is to die, if you wanna just chill). Maybe one of these grabs you: Mammoth Mountain Bike Park; hiking; fly-fishing; gondola rides (free for kids ages 6 and under); golfing (Highest Golf Course in CA) Top of the Sierra Interpretive Center Rock Climbing Zip Line ![]()

I agree, if your going to Mammoth for the outdoor fun then staying at a $174 a night place is dumb. Remember, summer time is off season for Mammoth. All those vacation condos are empty in the summer.
Posted by Just me on 07/07/08 01:08PM PDT Fifty bucks ain't going to get much motion lotion. At Mammoth prices, thats about 10 gallons of regular.
I agree, though, summer is great in Mammoth, but I wouldn't waste my money staying at an Interwest yuppie scum resort.
