S.W.O.R.D. Sample Sale at Sheila May 17-18
This one's for you patient readers out there. Italian leather jacket line S.W.O.R.D. (which has sold out on shopbop.com multiple times) is having a trunk show at Sheila on Melrose this Saturday. Its fall merchandise is available for pre-order—pay 50 percent now and the remaining 50 percent upon delivery in September.
On one hand, that scenario can help you justify the $800-plus price tag, but the flip side is waiting four months for the gratification that should be instant (and really is the entire point of shopping in the first place). However, it is said that good things come to those who wait, and S.W.O.R.D.'s shrunken motorcycle jackets are definitely good and worth the wait. The show starts tomorrow, but we hear if you stop by Sheila tonight before closing you can get a sneak peak. And a head start. May 17-18, Sat., 11am-7pm; Sun., 11am-5pm.
