Finding Funkentelechy At George Clinton’s 67th Birthday Party
george clinton's 67th birthday party at zune l.a.

In honor of his 67th birthday (7/22)
, the prince of Parliament, George Clinton, landed the mothership at Zune L.A. for a funkadelic fest of music, art and supergroovalisticprosifunkstication.

A family of all-star friends and funkateers beamed down to celebrate the big day, and were treated to delicious finger foods, Hennessy mojitos and a bite of Dr. Funkenstein’s cake.

The tri-level, hybrid venue, located at Beverly and Sweetzer, boasted a greenly lit performance space on the ground floor where no funk was being faked.

The gallery on level two showcased the best of P-Funk art including a portrait of Sir Nose D'Voidoffunk who hung on the wall as a poignant reminder of what happens when you enter the Zone of Zero Funkativity.

A mellow rooftop lounge completed the arrangement with cushy sofas, flowing tents, cool breezes and fresh herbs for the funkatized.
