Beso(me) Mucho, Miranda Kerr
Beso (the Eva Longoria backed restaurant) welcomed a throng of random celebs and beautiful no-namers through its doors to fête the launch of Victoria's Secret's newest fragrance "Heavenly Kiss" this week.
Vicky S's supercute supermodel Miranda Kerr wore Balenciaga and her signature dimples while exchanging air smooches with Chris Evans, Brandon Barash, Shane West, Christina Milian, Brittny Gastineau, Jay Chadrasekhar (wtf?) and Jeremy Piven. Given the night's theme, there was a lot of kissing to be seen. Especially of the ass-variety. Two very fashionable reality TV show alums—though we admit we couldn't hear their conversation over Bon Jovi's "Living on a Prayer" (incidentally, our karaoke song of choice)—were obviously fawning over each others fabulousness. Chris Evans took literal to the next level and wore a T-shirt featuring two neon lesbians lip-to-lip. And the staff was very accommodating to a few unidentifiable VIPs, leaving entire trays of hors d'oeurves just for them. Not that it bothered us. Which brings us to our only complaint of the night. The "aphrodisiac-inspired" Chambord cocktails tasted like cough syrup...perhaps someone was anticipating an outbreak of sore throats considering all the kissing in the air? We checked and so far, no cases of mono have been reported.

Prince vs. Michael Jackon Tribute Photo Gallery
It was Friday night, and I've never felt so right. Last Friday, May 2nd, NY-based DJ Spinna brought his annual Soul Slam party to the left coast. The east coast DJ took over eastside hotspot, The Echoplex, for his annual Prince vs. Michael Jackson tribute.
Spinna indulged the Prince fans first with a two-hour set that ended around midnight, when he began the Michael Jackson 2-hour set. DJ Rhettmatic (Beat Junkies) played MC for most of the night and Spinna's posse onstage mirrored the crowd's reaction and got hype at the beginning of every track. Our flat-ironed hair went to waste that night because we were sweating on the dancefloor for all four of those hours (okay, with a few trips to the bar here and there). During every song, Spinna would stop the music and partygoers could hear the entire dancefloor singing along in drunken and soulful unison. We exaggerate not. Every song. We went crazy for "Let's Go Crazy" and rocked out to "Rock With You", the final song. The entire venue danced and sang their hearts away like it was still the 80's and they were still little kids dancing and singing in front of a mirror. The night was, dare we say, the most fun we have had on a dancefloor in a looo(oooo)ng time. Maybe it's because we've been so inundated with hipster electro beats and have forgotten how good it feels to rock out to real soul? We wish our souls could be slammed on the dancefloor like that every night. So did the Purple One reign supreme? Or did the Gloved One show us why he's the crowned King of Pop? We'd call it a draw. Don't make us choose!! CLICK HERE OR ON THE PHOTOS TO VIEW ENTIRE GALLERY.

Saturday Night Partying At Coachella
![]() (Photo courtesy of Getty Images) I had to forego the entire Coachella Festival due to familial wedding duties back here in LA, so I knew I would have to make it out to at least some of the after-parties to pacify my devastation. On the ride up to Indio on Saturday night, I was comforted by the fact that I was able to avoid the ridiculous heat and the hordes of sweaty hipsters at the shows. This made me feel better until I got to the T-Mobile Sidekick after-party and every other person was gushing about how Prince, the headliner that night, was ah-maaaaz-ing . Dammit. The party, located at an Indio airport hangar, was an LA bash transplanted in the desert. Paris Hilton was there with beau, Benji Madden. Steve Aoki was jumping on and off his turntables, DJ AM, Mom Jeans (Danny Masterson) and Aoki took turns on the turntables. A hoodie and cowboy boot-clad Jamie Lynn Sigler danced with a hoodie-clad doppleganger until stumbling out around 2:30am. We spotted uber-affectionate and newly engaged Carmen Electra and fiance Rob Patterson whispering sweet nothings to each other by the bar. A fun and typical LA night - instead of being in an uber-swanky Hollywood club, the socialites and Hollywood scenesters were dancing and drinking in an airport hangar surrounded by Cessnas. At least all the free-ness at the T-Mobile party made the trip worth it. Free booze, free tacos, free karaoke, and free make-overs by Too-Faced cosmetics kept us entertained until about 3am, when we headed to the Green Door party at The Colony Palms Hotel. By the time we got to the Green Door party, we spied the DJ (Sean Patrick?) walking out. At 4am, there were only a few people passed out and/or lounging poolside, so we decided to make the trek back to LA, so I could be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed for my cousin's noon wedding on Sunday. Trekking to the desert just for the parties was probably not such a good idea. Hearing people rave about Portishead and Prince made me too jealous for words. It was hearing, "And then he brought out Sheila E!" that made me lose it. I get it, Coachella. The weekend is about the music and not the all-night ragers. Lesson learned. Coachella 2009, watch out.
