Valentine's Day brings Lucha VaVoom wrestling-burlesque show back to L.A.
Flowers, chocolates and a little love poetry are the way to win a girl's – or boy's – heart. But if you want to try something completely different and enticing, there is no better way to seduce or enthrall your present or future significant other than by showing them the ropes – the wrestling ropes, that is – at “Lucha VaVoom.”
The main event at “Lucha VaVoom” are the masked Mexican-style wrestlers. That should kick-start your lover's heart. Then the comedy– will loosen them up.
And if that isn't enough, there are burlesque performers to tease you in between the wrestling matches. How could you not be enthralled by the sexy and salacious burlesque performers, some of them flying through the air? Or around a pole. So come for the wrestling and stay for the raucous aerial acts, pogo-stick peelers and hula-hoop hotties.
Who doesn't enjoy a little sexo with their violencia?
Rooted in history, “Lucha VaVOOM” draws its inspiration from the bizarre world of 1960s Mexican Lucha cinema, where brave, masked wrestling crime-fighters save the world from evil brains, vampires, the Bermuda Triangle and more, always with an obligatory stop at the local go-go club.
This year, the Vavoom Valentines had an extra element of surprise – the first-ever musical act opened the show. Rock/electro musician Peaches performed a musical number, accompanied by sexy backup dancers, the likes of which “Lucha” fans have neither heard not seen.
This is a must-see show folks, especially if you love a sexy circus.
The bad news is that “Lucha Vavoom” is sold out for both Valentine's Day shows. The good news is you can catch them for their Cinco de Mayo or Halloween shows.
