Police are investigating a reported theft of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of valuables from the Tarzana home owned by reality-TV star Khloe Kardashian and her estranged husband, former Lakers and Clippers forward Lamar Odom.

Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley Division responded to the home around 4 p.m. Monday and have opened a criminal investigation into the theft, according to Officer Rosario Herrera.

Herrera said the value of the items stolen was not immediately available, but NBC News has reported the loss at more than $200,000.

The 8,400-square-foot Mediterranean-style home in the gated Mulholland Park neighborhood, seen by millions in both “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and the erstwhile “Khloe & Lamar,” is in escrow, sold last month to Kaley Cuoco of “The Big Bang Theory.”

It has been vacant since at least last month, though Kardashian and Odom had not yet moved out their belongings.

Kardashian filed for divorce from the basketball player in December, amid reports of Odom's growing drug problem, cheating and DUI arrest.

He is currently in Europe playing basketball for Laboral Kutxa of the Spanish ACB League.
