Last night, for the first time ever, the Television Academy presented Score! A Concert Celebrating Music Composed for Television, hosted by music author, writer and professor, Jon Burlingame. Guests enjoyed a special concert featuring iconic television themes, conducted by the composers who wrote them, from over 50 of television's most celebrated series, past and present. Featured composers included Jeff Beal (House of Cards), Sean Callery (24, Homeland and Elementary), Alf Clausen (The Simpsons), Lisa Coleman (Nurse Jackie, Touch and Heroes), Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones), James S.

Levine (American Horror Story and Glee), John Lunn (Downton Abbey), Bear McCreary (Da Vinci's Demons, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Walking Dead), Wendy Melvoin (Nurse Jackie, Touch and Heroes), Trevor Morris (Vikings, The Borgias and The Tudors), Walter Murphy (Family Guy), among many others. Mark Snow, fifteen-time Emmy®-nominated film composer (The X-Files, Millennium), was also honored by the Television Academy's Music Peer Group with the Career Achievement Award, which was presented to him by his brother-in-law, Tim Daly (The Mindy Project).
