A true American Girl, or is she almost a woman?

Is Abigail Breslin already a Hollywood veteran at age 12?

Well, she has been making movies since she was three and was nominated for an Oscar for her role in "Little Miss Sunshine." And last year she was ranked #8 on the Forbes Young Hollywood Top-Earning Stars list after making $1.5 million in 2006!

So getting the Veteran Award at Hollywood Life's Young Hollywood Awards Sunday night perhaps wasn't so strange. Even with veterans like Donald Sutherland, William Baldwin, America Ferrera, Britney Snow, Emmanuelle Chirqui, Taylor Swift, Thomas Dekker, Amber Heard and Jon Hamm picking up other awards.

Breslin stayed up way past her bedtime with pal Chris O'Donnell, her costar in this summer?s "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl." Apparently she's very psyched about the film based on a doll in the American Girl doll line.

"I've been collecting American Girl dolls forever," Abigail confessed.

And she's super excited about the possibility of an Abigail doll tie-in with the film.

"That would be so cool!? she exclaimed before signing autographs for fans waiting outside the Avalon in Hollywood.
