Actually, Will Smith got the most applause

Which star in “The Women” produced the loudest hullaballoo on the red carpet at the Westwood premiere on Thursday night? Was it Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Eva Mendes, Jada Pinkett Smith, Debra Messing, Candice Bergen, Cloris Leachman or Debi Mazar?
Actually, Will Smith got the most applause.
“It’s a bit embarrassing when I’m not even in the movie,” Smith said after he greeted screaming fans.
Not everyone was familiar with the all-female cast. A security guard told Bergen she couldn’t leave the lobby to return to the red carpet for a cast photo and fans, presuming she had a role in the chick flick, approached Tara Reid for an autograph.
“I wish I was in a film with all these wonderful women,” Reid lamented before the after party at the Napa Valley Grille.
The entire cast was wildly applauded during the screening when director Diane English claimed, “this movie will raise the self esteem of every woman around the globe.”
And what did Warren Beatty, who knows his women, think about the country’s latest femme fatale?
“Very interesting!” he smiled when asked about Sarah Palin.
