George Lopez stumbled upon an intriguing innovation in the VIP swag suite at the Century Plaza Hotel before emceeing the “The Gift of Life” gala on Sunday night.

He didn’t breathe a word about his finding to Magic Johnson when they chatted about the Lakers. And he was mum when he hugged golfing pal Samuel L. Jackson and his wife LaTanya Richardson, who were picking up the humanitarian award from the National Kidney Foundation of Southern California.

Lopez even sang a few lyrics from “Low Rider” on stage before delivering details of his startling discovery to Khandi Alexander, Nita Whitaker, Dave Winfield, Alfre Woodard, Harold Perrineau, James Pickens Jr., Kevin Sorbo and other guests.

“Did everyone see the strapless G strings on display in the VIP room?” he asked. “This is the symbol that’s going to change the image, future and performance of our foundation!”

Lopez, who claimed to feel “better than ever” since his kidney transplant three years ago, apologized for “my Al-Queda look” but stayed on message.

“I’ll throw in seven strapless G strings if you buy this,” he said during the auction he conducted with his wife/donor Ann.

The bids rose dramatically.
