Summer may be over, but the weather stays warm all year in Southern California, so Katana has decided to open up its front patio for happy hour from 5:30-7pm weekdays, and 6-7pm on Saturday and Sunday. The special menu includes an assortment of drinks and appetizers for $5. Try the crunchy tempura rock shrimp with two kinds of spicy aioli dips, or the peppy spicy tuna over crispy rice. There is also a variety of skewers like the bacon-wrapped asparagus, grilled shiitake mushrooms, salmon, and chicken meatballs, which come with three dipping sauces. Also for $5, you can enjoy the house sake, white or red wine, several kinds of beers, or Katana’s signature “Fusion” cocktail made with several kinds of fruit. Like many establishments on the Sunset Strip, Katana’s patio offers fantastic views of the city as you nibble on the delectable delicacies.
