The Sunset Plaza boutique was the first to premiere the Oliver Peoples brand—keep pupils peeled for its geometric logo of two circles, two triangles and two squares. Today, immaculate white walls help compliment the dozens of frames (for UV protection, prescription or both) all at an easy-to-grab reach. Curious about the numerous slim white drawers at knee-level? Open sesame, and uncover more styles, sizes and colors. Frames by brother brands Paul Smith (hip, metrosexual) and Mosley Tribes (outdoorsy, sporty) are also available. Each sales member is approachable and helpful to a fault; for the indecisive buyer, expect the Oliver Peoples associate to carefully suggest different shades—fifty, if that's what it takes!—until you're 100 percent satisfied. If you're up to testing your photogenic side, theyll even snap pictures of you in said shades, display the images on the store Mac and email a loved one if you're dying for a second (third, fourth…) opinion. Prescription glasses take five to seven days to produce. In the meantime, you could buy a few of their reggae CDs for company. —Lien Ta
