Next to American Rag, Maison Midi rivals Anthropologie's home offerings but with a French flair. From Moroccan tea glasses to colorfully striped beach chairs, it's a shopping destination that reminds shoppers of another destination—one with more ooh-la-la, n'est-ce pas? Plush robes and surprisingly man-friendly blankets are for sale, plus vintage ashtrays, beer steins and picture frames that cost $210 but also look 210 years old. Midi entices buyers to touch napkin rings made of seashells, but does not approve of romping on the furniture (thanks, "Do Not Sit" signs). But from exotically cut mirrors to one-of-a-kind tiles and purposely paint-chipped chairs, Midi loudly urges you to make your home away from Nice just like Nice. —Lien Ta
