For the guy seeking T-shirts with offensively witty graphics on 'em, Union boasts more than 40 brands of the staple item, each neatly folded in a perfect square and wrapped in clear plastic. (Flipping through styles is like flipping through a record crate.) They're not dirt-cheap, but they're extraordinarily unique and therefore worth it. After all, no dive-bar regular would be caught dead wearing the same Che Guevara as the guy next to him. Hoodies branded with skulls and guns are abundant, thanks to prep-grunge label Maiden Noir. Custom Nikes decorate the shop, as do skateboards and leather belts by Neighborhood that cost $338 a whip. Trucker hats, bandannas and Gortex jackets in camouflage are perfect for a dangerous night out in rough LA weather. Our favorite item of amusement: seersucker shorts that went down to the calf. —Lien Ta
