While the interior might look more like a smoothie bar than a burger joint thanks to a misguided pastel sherbet color scheme and very bright lighting, The Fix is actually a delightful little place to grab a hamburger in a lively little corner of Silverlake.
Burgers may be the new mac n’ cheese—everyone seems to be getting into the game here in L.A.—but The Fix has several options that set it apart from the competition. First is the variety of meats you can get.
We’re talking ostrich (tastes sort of like really dark turkey meat) and buffalo, in addition to the more parochial beef, turkey and veggie.
The Fix
Your arteries might burst, but your stomach will be happy. Independent-minded diners are welcome to build their own dream burger out of any of the meats and toppings available.
In addition to the usual sides like fries (regular, garlic, or sweet potato) and onion rings, there are more uncommon choices like fried mushroom caps, as well as an assortment of dipping sauces. And if you’re still not full, grab one of their specialty milkshakes like the Oreo one for dessert.
With all these choices, you might be at a loss for what to order, but the extremely friendly staff is sure to have recommendations for you.
