In TV life she was a lesbian-witch with a mild stutter and a seriously millennial wardrobe.  In real life she is an accomplished actor, author, director, lover of nemisises (her boyfriend is show mate Adam Busch), and a glamourpuss with a mondo fan base.

Hello Buffy friends. Welcome to the wonderful world of Amber Benson.

Following her success as Tara Maclay (Alyson Hannigan's hot and heavy, non hetero, love interest on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer") Benson turned to a variety of artistic collaborations -- co-writing novels, comics, a BBC webseries with "Hellboy" author Christopher Golden, and producing three of her own films.

Currently, the Sherman Oaks local is busy putting the "adult" back in Young Adult literature with her recent Penguin release, "Death's Daughter" -- the first novel in a trilogy she describes as "sci-fi meets detective," somewhere between "Quantum Leap and Remington Steele," but sexual.

Right on.

Harnessing fan feedback from Twitter has been an unexpected source of inspiration and direction for this project. Frustrated by the lack of reviews on mainstream portals like Amazon and Barnes & Noble, Benson reached out to her followers for input. She challenged friends and fans to comment -- good or bad, love it or hate it -- to the tune of 85 online reviews, promising to dance the Macarena on You Tube if they reached her goal. Sometimes it's embarassing to win stuff. ;)
