Since the digital music revolution has been upon us for more than a decade, it's quite possible that some of you youngsters out there have never physically purchased a CD. Therefore, losing out on the first-hand experience of peeling the plastic off a case containing very gratifying, and very cool, album art.
Though that is now obsolete--except for a virtual version in your iTunes library, perhaps--seekers of the perfect boy-tee-for-girls LnA have teamed up with Invisible DJ (whose compilations you've heard looped while shopping at Ron Herman and Juicy Couture) to revive album art...and make it wearable.
Really it's just a T-shirt with a cool graphic on the front, a track list on the back and a bar code on the tag which allows the buyer to download the album. Like most of what Invisible DJ puts out, the album is a mix of artists on the brink of discovery (The Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Charlie Mars), with the goal of exposing listeners to what's new and cool.
The Music Tee debuts today for $60 at Ron Herman, or is available online at LnA.com.
