The fourth location of this retro-chic bakery is opening adjacent to the Manhattan Village Mall. Take a gander at the vintage Betty Crocker posters and chrome furniture as you wait for your choice of nostalgic all-American desserts (we've got our eye on the chocolate and marble six-layer cake). The bakery should be open by the end of July. In the meantime, check out one of their other locations for 4th of July specials like a Summer Berry Icebox Chiffon Cake, or a Blueberry Crumble Pie.

Patina Promotions
The Patina Group is launching all sorts of new endeavors at locations across Los Angeles. First up is a new Burger Bistro at the Market West Deli in the Hollywood Bowl. Aside from burgers, of course, it will also serve other eatables like a Korean BBQ Beef Taco. Pinot Bistro is offering a "Tour de France" Tasting menu from July 5-26 to commemorate the only few weeks each year that people care about cycling. You get four courses for $45 ($65 with wine pairing).
For more information on all these specials, check out the Patina Group's web site.

To commemorate its founding year (and drum up some business in the process), this Sunset Strip institution is creating a new "1971" menu that goes for, you guessed it, $19.71. You get three courses with choices like the Chopped or Caesar Salad, pasta, chicken or steak, and then your choice of ice cream for dessert.
