Nelly Furtado has ventured into the producing world, starting her very own indie label Nelstar. Tonight, she hosts a party for its very first album release with Fritz Helder & The Phantoms Greatest Hits (misleading, as it is the band's first album).

Not familiar with Fritz Helder & The Phantoms? Then you obviously aren't Canadian. The funk/disco/pop/hip-hop collective has made (new) waves across North America's chilly upper-half with their Prince-era sound and theatrical, choreographed live performances, getting rave reviews from Filter and Out magazines.

Though admittedly, we are not familiar with the band, we absolutely endorse them 100 percent based on their song titles--"Lagerfeld Lady" (a tribute to designer Karl Lagerfeld), "You Ain't Vogue" (an ode to infamous Vogue EIC Anna Wintour),"Sex Robot" (no explanation needed)--and their obvious affinity for fashion and robots.
