Famous film fashionistas converged on the corner of Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard on Thursday night to celebrate one of their own, as Princess Grace of Monaco was posthumously honored for her iconic fashion sense with the Rodeo Walk of Style Award. The late princess, better known as Grace Kelly, shared the spotlight with Cartier jewelers, as both were given the prestigious award in a ceremony that shut down the street described as "the epicenter of fashion."

Angie Harmon turned out in a weird combination of big dress and bondage boots, while Jenna Elfman showed off her baby bump in a voluminous striped top and skintight miniskirt. Okay, so neither one of them got the memo that they were supposed to look good at this event, but Lisa Edelstein, Gabrielle Union, and gorgeous Camille Belle did. Belle's amazing white lace-and feather Marchesa cocktail dress was the talk of the after party held at BLVD in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

But before that, Demi Moore offered up the Cartier award to the company's Pierre Rainero, and couldn't help gushing.

"There's just something about getting that little red box. You just know that there's going to be something good inside," she said, then added, "Cartier made my most treasured piece of jewelry, my engagement ring." Um, was that the one Bruce Willis gave her, or the one Ashton Kutcher sprang for later? Aw, who's counting when it is Cartier?

Prince Albert II of Monaco accepted his mother's Walk of Style Robert Graham-designed award from Debra Messing, whose upswept 'do almost made us believe that we were back in the 1950's when Grace Kelly mesmerized the world with her beauty. As Messing pointed out, Kelly remains "one of the greatest style icons in history."

That was hard to dispute as the fashionably dressed folks jammed into BLVD, for "To Catch a Thief" was playing on television screens set up all over the crowded space. Grace looked fantastic, and as her son commented, she would have approved of the new wrinkle in the Rodeo Walk of Style, for this time out it was a charity event, complete with sold tickets and a silent auction. Designed to benefit the Princess Grace Foundation for the arts and the Prince Albert Foundation created to protect the world's environment, the event raised more than $125,000 for those causes. Now that's what we call a truly au courant addition to the annual event.
