Next to Yule logs and Santa Claus, A Christmas Carol has become seeped in the holiday tradition. There are TV shows, plays, even a movie starring Bill Murray as Scrooge. Ho-ho-humbug? Of course, A Christmas Carol started off as a book first (remember those?), and to celebrate the holiday season The Long Beach Shakespeare Company is running a new stage adaptation of this timeless holiday classic. Richard McPherson is back as the curmudgeonly Scrooge and the performance will also include rare scenes from Dickens' novel that have never before been performed live! So come along and bring the whole family, because Christmas just isn’t as joyous without A Christmas Carol. Well, that and eggnog. Yum, yum!
