For us football deprived Angelinos, the Academy Awards are the closest thing we have to the Super Bowl. Because like the Big Game, the Oscars are fun, exciting, and glamorous. Well, maybe not that last one, but two out of three isn't bad. So being a proud Angelino (and who among us, isn't?), why not watch the Oscars among you're fellow city dwellers and support the local film industry while you're at it? This Sunday the Cinefamily will be hosting an Academy Awards viewing party, where you can either sit back in comfort and watch the ceremony on the big screen, or gossip about who's wearing what. Oh and did I mention that comedian Doug Benson of Super High Me fame will be there to crack jokes during the show? Pretty much, he'll be saying out loud what everyone at home is thinking. Like why is Angelina Jolie wearing that dress, and can someone tell Johnny Depp to get a haircut already? It's like, we get it, you're an actor—get over yourself! You know stuff like that. But a lot funnier.
