The (insert favorite L.A. sports team here) are playing and you're in Hollywood –  so where do you go to watch the game? Sure there are lots of decent bars that might be broadcasting it. But what if just you're looking for a friendly environment with cheap drinks and lots of die-hard sports fans? Well, that's where LA.com comes in handy. Here is your comprehensive guide to the best sports bars in Hollywood.

Hollywood Hookah Lounge: If you're looking for a different type of sports bar atmosphere (think goth with a little hip-hop thrown in), then Hollywood Hookah Lounge is definitely one to check out. Not only do they have 30 HD TVs playing everything from tennis matches to the Lakers game, but for about $15 a person you and your crew can sit back and smoke any of their flavored tobaccos in total relaxation. Hollywood Hookah Lounge is also one of the few spots on Hollywood Boulevard that's open until 4 a.m.

The Blue Boar Pub: It may have the word "pub" in its name, but when any of L.A.'s beloved sports teams are on the tube you can bet The Blue Boar will be playing their games. So maybe that does make it a sports bar (kind of). Guinness is always on tap, and for $10 you can order a specialty drink called The Beckham, which includes oxy gin, egg whites, and fresh raspberries. That's one drink you can enjoy even if you're not a Galaxy fan.

Happy Ending: The crowd tends to be younger, and a lot of times it can be about as noisy as a frat house inside. But on game day, sports fans come out in droves to Happy Ending in Hollywood. Happy Ending doubles as a restaurant, with bar food that's actually pretty good. In fact, their New York-style pizza is consistently ranked as one of the better pies in Los Angeles. And on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. they're only $4.

Maui and Sons: With palm trees, surfboards, and plastic sharks hanging on the wall, Maui and Sons is definitely a unique take on your classic sports bar. It's also one of the few places in Hollywood where you can watch football all day on Saturdays and Sundays, with drink specials that include bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys. They also have the largest outdoor patio in Hollywood, just in case you feel like getting some sunshine with your cocktail.

Dillon's: The best thing about Dillon's is that beers are $3 all day, every day. And by beer we're not just talking Coors Light and Budweiser. With everything from Guinness, Fat Tire, Blue Moon, and dozens of other craft beers and imports on tap, you'll be able to watch the game and drink in L.A. style.

Buffalo Wild Wings: It's the new kid on the block, or in this case Hollywood Boulevard, and opened up earlier this year to compete directly with that other wing place located a few blocks away. Let's just say the other spot is really know for its… wings (yeah that's it!). Buffalo Wild Wings may not have scantily clad waitresses like the other place, but it does have lots and lots of hi-def TVs for watching sports. Its hot wings are also much, much spicier. Let's just put it this way, you won't find a mango habanero hot wing at Hooters (AKA that other wing place).

Big Wangs: You can't make a list of the best sports bars in Hollywood and not mention the original Big Wangs on Cahuenga and Selma. In fact, the first thing you see at the front entrance are football helmets – lots of them! – spray-painted on the windows. So whether you're a Raiders fan, or the Trojans of USC, you can rest assured that you're in a safe place. And every night there's some type of food or drink special, like $1 taco Tuesdays and 25-cent wing weekends.
