Where is the Comedy Store located?
The Comedy Store is located on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. The venue's address is 8433 Sunset Boulevard, 90069.
How do I purchase tickets?
Purchasing tickets for a show at the Comedy Store is fairly straightforward. When you visit the club's website you'll see a calendar icon on the homepage. When you click on that it will allow you to purchase tickets for any of the upcoming shows.
Those without access to the internet can also purchase tickets by calling 323-650-6268, or by visiting the box office located at the front of the venue just prior to the show.
How do I get there by public transportation?
Given it's location on the Sunset Strip, the Comedy Store is accessible by bus. Your best bet is to take the Metro Local Line 2, which makes frequent stops every 15 to 30 minutes on Sunset Boulevard. It will take you directly in front of the club.
How do I get there by car?
Those coming from West Hollywood or Hollywood can take Sunset Boulevard all the way there. But you're probably better off taking Fountain
Avenue, then turning on to Sunset at Crescent Heights, especially during rush hour. You'll thank me later.
If you're coming from South Bay and the beach cities, take the 405 North and get off at Exit 55A toward Santa Monica Boulevard. Turn right onto Santa Monica and drive for two miles until you reach North La Cienega Boulevard. Turn left on North La Cienega, drive for about a half a mile, then make another right when you hit Sunset Boulevard. The Comedy Store will be on your left.
Those traveling from Pasadena need to take the 110 South to the 101 North, then get off at Exit 8A for Sunset Boulevard. Turn right on Sunset, and the Comedy Store will be on your right.
If you're coming from the San Fernando Valley, take the 101 South and get off at the Highland Avenue Exit. Continue onto Highland, then make a right at Sunset Boulevard. After two miles of driving the Comedy Store will be on your right.
Those coming from Orange County should take the 5 North to the 101 North. From there you'll want to get off at the Sunset Boulevard Exit and make a right. Drive for three and a half miles and you'll be in front of the Comedy Store.
What's the parking like if I drive?
There are lots of parking structures located within walking distance from the Comedy Store. To park it will cost you $1 an hour before 6 p.m., and $2 an hour from 6 p.m. to 2 p.m. There's also plenty of metered parking available on Sunset. But don't count on that as your only option. The spots tend to fill up quickly, especially at night.
What's the seating situation like?
Unlike most comedy clubs, the Comedy Store is separated into three different rooms. They are the Original Room, which is the first room you see when you walk into the club; the Main Room, which is bigger and usually reserved for marquee comedians; and the Belly Room, which features both established comedians, as well as up-and-comers in the comedy world. There Comedy Store also has a two-drink minimum that includes mixed drinks, wine, beer and soda.

It's no secret that the Sunset Strip has dozens of good restaurants. So if it's after hours and you just got out of a show at the Comedy Store, you're in luck. For burgers, sandwiches and milkshakes, you can't go wrong with Mel's Drive-In, located at 8585 Sunset Boulevard. Those in the mood for a steak will want to check out either BOA, which is at 90200 Sunset Boulevard, or BLT Steak, which is a short walk from the Comedy Store at 8720 Sunset Boulevard.
