It may be the home of UCLA, but when it comes to sports, the people of Westwood welcome all types of fans. Yes, even those who go to USC. So if you happen to find yourself in Bruin Town, USA, here are a few sports bars you'll want to check out.
O'Hara's: You know you're in a college bar when a sign advertises Sunday Funday Beer Pong Tournaments. That may not sound like the most ideal setting to watch a game, but O'Hara's makes up for it with lots of great drink specials. Tuesdays are probably the best night to go. It's when they offer pints of Bud Light for $2 and liters of Budweiser for $4. O'Hara's also has pretty decent bar food, like burgers, nachos and pizza, none of which will cost you more than $10.

Westwood Brewing Company: Like its name says, Brewco (as it's commonly referred to) offers a good selection of new and hard to find craft beers on tap. They also have an outdoor patio, as well as a karaoke room upstairs, which is a great escape if your team happens to be losing. After all, the only way to get over a crushing defeat is by hearing a really bad rendition of Michael's Jackson's “Billie Jean.” It's even better if someone other than you is doing the singing.
1097 Glendon Ave., 90024; 310-824-0820
Sepi's: Although it's advertised as a place for “cold beers and giant subs,” Sepi's is one of the oldest, and most popular, sports bar in Westwood. It's been around since 1969, the same year John Wooden led the Bruins basketball team to their third consecutive NCAA Championship, and is probably the closest thing you'll find to a UCLA sports museum (that just happens to serve beer). The walls are lined with all types of memorabilia, like basketball jerseys and signed photographs, and on days when the Bruins are playing (basketball
or football), PBRs are $1. Sepi's is also known for their specialty sub sandwiches (go figure!), which are made on freshly baked bread that's delivered from a local bakery each morning.10968 Le Conte Ave., 90024; 310-208-7171
Barney's Beanery: How does the Westwood Barney's differ from all the others? Two words: secret menu, meaning all UCLA students can get a ton of food, like burgers, chicken fingers, nachos and chili, for $5. Those who don't go to UCLA are in luck too. The Westwood locale has 68 hi-def TVS, lots of spacious booths that are perfect for big groups, 200 beers to choose from, and pretty much every sports package you can think of – even rugby!
