On Saturday, December 1st, during its annual Season of Giving charitable campaign, AEG is dedicating its holiday efforts to Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC). The event will include a presentation on the LA Kings Holiday Ice at L.A. LIVE honoring the Special Olympic athletes. Floor hockey athletes from Riverside County, Riverside Mad Dogs, will be recognized in the presentation as they will be competing in the upcoming 2013 Special Olympics World Winter Games for Team USA in PyeongChang, South Korea.


Team USA's floor hockey team consists of 16 athletes and four coaches who will travel together and join 3,300 athletes from around the globe. The PyeongChang Games will feature world-class competitions in sports such as alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, figure skating, snowboarding and speed skating.

In celebration of the Special Olympics Team USA athletes, Coca-Cola will feature Coke floats/product sampling, a snowball toss, prize wheel and the iconic Coca-Cola polar bear mascot at Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE.


The event will also celebrate the unveiling of the first GRAMMY Museum outdoor exhibition commemorating 25 years of the "A Very Special Christmas" album series, the single most successful benefit recording series in musical history, which has generated more than $109 million in royalties to support Special Olympics. The GRAMMY Museum at L.A. LIVE will feature a display in their lobby and a short feature film about the "A Very Special Christmas" series and its impact on the Special Olympics Movement in their Clive Davis Theater. As part of the event, the GRAMMY Museum will be giving out free admission tickets to Special Olympics athletes, supporters and event participants.
