L.A. may lack snowfall during the winter months, but there's no shortage of holiday plays going on this time of year. Besides, might as well put the thousands of unemployed actors in town to work – ‘tis the season to give back! Here is a roundup of eight of the best holiday-themed plays going on right now in Los Angeles.

Christmas My Way: A Sinatra Holiday Bash: Whether you call him the Chairman of the Board, or ‘Ol Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra's voice is recognizable to just about everyone with functioning ears – even Justin Bieber fans. The SantaLand Diaries: Writer and humorist David Sedaris first read “The SantaLand Diaries” as an essay on NPR way back in 1992. It has since been adapted into a hilarious one-man stage play that's fast becoming a perennial holiday classic at theatres all across the country – kind of like A Christmas Carol. Well, maybe on a significantly lesser scale but still pretty funny. SantaLand is currently running at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood through December 16th. Paolo Andino, best known for his work on LOGO's Big Gay Sketch Show, will be reprising his starring role.

The radio play was first performed in 1939 with Orson Welles producing and Lionel Barrymore (great uncle of Drew) playing Scrooge. So come along and bring the whole family, because Christmas just isn't as joyous without A Christmas Carol. Well, that and eggnog.

Second City's A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens: Ever wonder what it would be like to see a modern, improvised version of Dickens' A Christmas Carol? Then you'll want to check out Second City's A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens. The show features a top-notch cast of Second City alums like Dan Castellaneta (The Simpsons), Brian Stepanek (The Suite Life of Zack and Ron West (3rd Rock From the Sun), with no two shows being the same. How can they do that, you ask? Guess you'll just have to find out for yourself.

Bob's Holiday Office Party: Now celebrating its 17th season, Bob's Holiday Office Party is like the anti-It's A Wonderful Life. The story revolves around a Christmas party run amok at small insurance company in Nebraska. There's debauchery, crude humor, and lots and lots of sloppy drunkenness. That being said, you may want to keep the kids at home for this one.
