When people think of L.A.'s nightlife, images of Hollywood, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, and Downtown immediately come to mind. Koreatown, on the other hand, almost never comes up. That's a shame, because not only is it much, much cheaper to drink in K-town, but it also has some of the best bars, clubs and karaoke spots in the city. And as far as happy hour goes, well they've got that to. Here are a few places you'll definitely want to check out.

DGM: The name is actually short for DwitGolMok, which in English means “back alley.” Why the name? The chairs and tables are made of metal, and the walls are painted to resemble a stylish type of urban graffiti, meaning DGM is what an abandoned warehouse would look like if it were converted into a restaurant overnight. Okay now that the rather longish description is out of the way, let's talk about happy hour. It happens everyday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and includes Budweiser for $4, and half-off appetizers when you buy a drink. DGM specializes in Korean BBQ, and also features an all you can eat happy hour every night from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., for $12.99.

Beer Belly: The name may sound kind of funny, but when it comes to craft beer the good folks over at Beer Belly take their job very seriously. With several specialty beers to choose from, most of which come from local brewers, it's the perfect little spot to sample some fine brew and watch the game with friends. Happy hour is everyday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and includes $1 off beer, as well as select appetizers for $5. And be sure to try their tasty duck fat fries. They're only $4 and come with a raspberry dipping sauce that is absolutely amazing!

Cafe Brass Monkey: A favorite of K-Town locals, there's live karaoke every night of the week at Cafe Brass Monkey. It's even a favorite of Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane, who can often be seen giving a spot-on rendition of a 40s era country and western tune. Happy hour is Monday and Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and includes margaritas for $3.50, domestic beer for $2.50, imported beer for $4, and shots of patron and jagermeister for $5. They also do a Wednesday and Thursday happy hour from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. It includes carne asada tacos for a $1, margaritas for $3.50, and domestic beer for $3.

37Sixty: Given its close proximity to the Wiltern, 37Sixty is a great spot to pop into either before or after a concert. They've got a daily happy hour beginning at 4 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m., as well as an all day happy hour on Sundays. Specials include $2 off all well drinks, with appetizers going for $5. And with plenty of flat screen TVs tuned to ESPN, 37Sixty is also a great place to sit back and watch the game.
