The Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival officially kicks off April 12 boasting headliners from Jurassic 5 to The Stone Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Phoenix. But music lovers, dancers and everyone in between can get in the mood as early as Thursday and keep the party going well into Coachella Weekend Two with this round-up of the best festivities off the festival grounds.

Filter Yacht Club (April 11):
The 11th annual Filter Yacht Club plans to get the party started on Coachella eve at a secluded yacht club in the desert.
In partnership with aerie, the party plans to get fans pumped for the crazy weekend ahead with live performances by St. Lucia and Penguin Prison and plenty of DJ set by guest from Misshapes to K.I.D.S., Channel One and Tres Dubois.
Desert Gold (April 11-21), The Do-Over (April 14 and April 21) and SPIN House (April 13):
The Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs is expected to be a non-stop haven for Coachella-goers and outliers who want to chill poolside with great music during its parties.
Last year, Desert Gold featured performances by surprise musical guests from Thom Yorke, Flying Lotus, Gaslamp Killer, Florence Welch, Questlove and more. This year, some of those acts will make an encore appearance while new faces are also expected to rock the party including Eagles of Death Metal.
The Do-Over, which is slated for both Coachella Sundays, partners with Addidas for its third annual "remedy to your festival hangover" pool party featuring Chris Haycock, Jamie Strong, Aloe Blacc and other surprise guests.
Also join SPIN magazine on April 13 as it hosts events poolside between noon and 5 p.m. featuring performances by ANTWON, King Tuff, Nite Jewel and Chrome Sparks.
Whether it's to recharge for Coachella craziness or to just get into that vibe without stepping foot on festival grounds, all parties at the Ace Hotel & Swim Club have been known to hit the spot for music lovers and lazy pool loungers alike.
Hard Rock Music Lounge (April 12-14)
Palm Springs' Hotel Zoso will get an overhaul as it transforms into the Hard Rock Music Lounge to host a series of parties during Coachella weekend.
Festivities kick-off April 12 with Camelchella, a VIP Moroccan desert-themed party, with expected celebrity guest appearances by Ashley Benson, Chad Michael Murray, Whitney Port and Catherine Giudici.
Galore: Women Who Rock is scheduled for April 13 hosted by Kelly Rowland, and April 14 concludes the string of parties with Fool's Gold featuring A-Trak, Danny Brown and Nick Catchdubs.
Details @ Midnight (April 12)
Nas is expected to guest host this year's Details @ Midnight, an after-hours Coachella party that is slated for 10 p.m. April 12. The location and the lineup for the desert party has not been released, but last year Asher Roth took to the stage.
Studio Africa Rolling Stone Party: (April 12-14)
Rolling Stone magazine and Diesel have partnered for a three-day pool party at a private ranch in La Quinta. The party is expected to feature musical performances along with treats by Ben & Jerry's and Patr n Tequila infused cake pops. Patr n Tequila will also be hosting a Margarita Bar where guests can create their own engraved lemon/lime squeezers.
Vestal Village (April 12-14)
The fourth annual Vestal Village exclusive three-day party is set for the first weekend of Coachella at a secret location in Indio. Hosted by Vestal, a watch manufacturer that has also partnered with other brands such a Paul Frank, Vans and singer Gwen Stefani's lines, Lamb and Harajuku Lovers, the party boasts special performances daily.
Neon Carnival (April 13)
A|X Armani Exchange is slated to host Neon Carnival again this year with even more carni fun. The after-hours Coachella festival party is exclusive and will be at a secret location April 13 until 3 a.m. Invited guests, which in the past have included celebrities such as Gerard Butler, Emma Roberts and Usher, can enjoy specialty cocktails provided by SVEDKA Vodka and music by Jesse Marco, Jus Ske and Kayper.
Of course, Neon Carnival will feature carnival rides, games and food.
GUESS After Dark: (April 13)
GUESS is getting in on the musical madness with a party at a private residence in the desert. The headlining musical act is Nervo, an Australian DJ duo, that recently collaborated with GUESS Eyewear to launch its new Shades of Summer Campaign for the 2013 music festival season. This exclusive event plans to feature Patr n XO Caf specialty cocktails and Patr n-themed interactive stations such as a HD Photobooth, Fashion Fortune Teller and a Patr n XO Caf Igloo Bar serving Patr n XO Caf Hot Chocolate and Patr n Citronge infused marshmallows.
Volt Valley at the Mirage Featuring Bagatelle Beach: (April 13-14)
Night Vision Entertainment and Chevrolet are presenting this two-day VIP party at a private property near the festival. Guests will be able to enjoy cocktails as wells as Coolhaus ice cream sandwiches with Patr n infused cream at the Patr n XO Caf Igloo. Flavors include Patr n XO Caf Coffee Crunch, Patr n XO Dark Salted Chocolate and Patr n Citronge Blueberry Mojito. Guests will also be able to take a ride on the Patr n hot air balloon where they will be offered chilled shots of Patr n XO Caf . VEVO TV plans to have a Control Room to view videos and Chevy is slated to host a recharge lounge featuring Pabst Blue Ribbon and Redbull.
Lacoste L!VE Desert Pool Party: (April 13-14)
Lacoste's annual desert pool party will feature the Lacoste L!VE collection that officials say "invokes the playful, innovative spirits of the Rene Lacoste." The party is slated to have a bar filled with Patr n Tequila and DJ appearances by Alexa Chung, Elijah Wood, Danny Masterson, Sam Spiegel, Ana Calderon, Chris Holmes, Jordan & Allie (Jordan Lawlor from M83 & Allie T), Myles Hendrik and Zach Cowie.
The Saguaro Desert Weekender (April 12-14)
The techni-colored oasis in Palm Springs known as The Saguaro is slated to host its annual Coachella-inspired party featuring DJ appearances by Sky Ferreira, Rick Rude and more.
The invite-only event is hosted by Forever 21, RevolveClothing.com and Swatch.
Celebrities who have partied at The Saguaro Desert Weekender include Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and Ke$ha.
A Club Called Rhonda is also scheduled for April 13 at The Saguaro. The full lineup hasn't been announced but the daytime event is expected to have some fun surprises. Last year, DJ Harvey, Aeroplane and Poolside were just among the performers.
Tachevah: A Palm Springs Block Party (April 17)
Passion Pit is expected to headline downtown Palm Springs' biggest block party on April 17.
The indie rock band will be joined by desert favorites The Pedestrians, The Tribesmen and You, Me & Us, which were voted to play the free event by nearly 95,000 votes. DJ Alf Alpha is also slated to perform to keep the party going between band sets. There will be a beer garden and vendors. The block party is hosted by Goldenvoice, Agua Caliente, PS Resorts and the City of Palm Springs and Palm Springs-based newspaper, The Desert Sun. Doors open at 5 p.m. A portion of proceeds go to the Palm Springs Boys & Girls Club.
