Between their headlining Coachella weekends Phoenix carved out a little time to play a small, intimate set at KROQ's Red Bull Sound Space. The French quartet played songs from their new studio album and crowd favorites, 1901 and Liztomania from their Grammy award winning "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix."
About their new album and their racing ascend to fame, guitarist Laurent Brancowitz told Stryker of KROQ, "We're glad that the success of the previous record gives us a little extra attention for the (new one). The new album is very precious to us. It needs those few extra listens for it to reveal itself. I think that we had more freedom and less pressure in a way because we had that success."
Look out for their fifth studio album 'Bankrupt!,' dropping Tuesday April 23rd!
