This August 17 & 18, 2013, The Latino Comics Expo will be making it's Southern California debut at the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in Long Beach.

Jose Cabrera , cartoonist behind the CRYING MACHO MAN series, has lately been creating a series of art prints using imagery from Latin culture as well as Sumo wrestling. He's also the Graphic Designer for the Latino Comics Expo.
Manny Elias, creator of the CHINGASO THE CLOWN comics, will be debuting a new entry in the series at the Expo. CHINGASO THE CLOWN (mature audiences) was made into a short film.
Donna Letterese is an illustrator, comic book editor and art instructor. She produces a line of hand-drawn greeting cards, with a series also created featuring Spanish text.
NINOSKA ARTE, run by the duo of Jacqueline Ortiz and Hannibal Garcia, is an LA-based studio creating a variety of art based on pop culture and Mexican folklore.
Jose Pulido is an illustrator who produces limited-edition Gocco prints, t-shirts and stickers featuring his artwork. Many of his images are inspired by Dia de Los Muertos and film.
The Latino Comics Expo Los Angeles will be held the weekend of August 17 & 18 at the Museum of Latin American Art. The event runs from 11am-5pm, both days.
In addition to the exhibit hall featuring over 50 cartoonists, writers, illustrators, zine makers, book vendors and more, the Expo will feature 2 days of panels and children's workshops (on Sunday).
MOLAA is located at 628 Alamitos Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802. Admission to the Museum grants you entry to the Expo.
