Spring has definitely sprung in Hollywood, as the past weekend certainly proved. The MTV Awards rolled into town on Sunday, April 13, and those much-beloved swag-filled luxury suites led the way into that wild and wooly event held downtown at the Nokia Theatre.

The fun started early on Friday, April 11, at the SLS Hotel, where two different luxury swag suites beckoned to MTV Awards nominees and other familiar faces to come on in and be pampered. At the GBK Luxury Gift Lounge in Honor of the 2014 MTV Movie Awards inside the chic hotel (which also rolled into Saturday), celebs flocked to the posh gifting lounge from top-rated TV shows, including Sean Murray from “NCIS,” Khandi Alexander from “Scandal,” Rebecca Mader from “Once Upon a Time” and Jeff Kober from “The Walking Dead.” They, and plenty of other famous faces – Ernie Hudson, Omar Epps, Paige Turco and Andy Richter – scooped up stunning watches and rings made of Hawaiian Koa wood from Pono Woodworks, groovy heels from Quipid shoes (Coachella, anyone?) and MTHEMOVEMENT glow-in-the-dark eco tees.

We even spotted some of the stars actually nibbling on Barry's Gourmet Brownies (who could resist?) and gobbling up Jackson's Honest Potato Chips, those astonishingly good organic chips made from just coconut oil, potatoes and sea salt. Some even washed it all down with Deep Eddy Vodka shots, that smooth Texas booze with a cute pinup girl logo, while others took a toke at the BLOW Electronic Hookah, the latest entry in the vaping rage.

Other top items at the GBK Lounge included Keratin Complex hair products, Audiopark wrap bracelets that transform into high-precision earphone buds, Fracassi Lashes' eyelash extensions and Caribbean Living Magazine's gift certificate for a three-night stay at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort on St. Thomas. But the biggest prize of the day was the Artisan Group goodie bag, filled with incredible handmade items. Favorite designers showcased there: SassyBelleWares dragon's blood jasper beads and porcelain skull bracelet, perfect for wearing while watching “Game of Thrones”; Ellagee's glittery handcrafted nail polishes; Four Black Paws funny dog collar bowties; and artist Gary Hirsch's completely awesome robot dominoes called Botjoys.

Meanwhile, (on Friday only), outside on the hotel's Garden Terrace, Secret Room Events presented their “Secret Room Style Retreat” and lured MTV Awards nominees Kevin Hart, Barkhad Abdi and Miles Teller to check out the seriously rad wireless video gaming gear from Steelseries, wildly patterned Jam underwear, Felio Siby's sleek leather goods and Zumer Sport's excellent sports-related dopp kits and carry bags. Megan Hayes from “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” loved the cleverly constructed Lola Blue handbags, adorable Coquette lingerie, and Kahoy Kollection eyewear, made of burnished wood. And everyone giggled over the Rilakkuma characters from Japan's San-X Co.; those funny bears and their oddball pets are all the rage with kids everywhere, but it seems that grown-up gals are in the mix, too, sporting everything from iPhone cases to cute little dresses, pajama costumes and leggings with the Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma and Kiiroitori characters front and center.

By the time everyone had staggered out to their cars with groaning bags of swag (GBK even offered a personal sherpa to help out), one thing was obvious: the stars that took home an MTV Award on Sunday had nothing on this haul!
