Grammy nominated Eric Benét, BET Award winners Day26 and 2013 “American Idol” victor Candice Glover all performed a free concert June 21 at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Outdoor Promenade stage, marking the first day of summer and getting fans excited for this weekend's BET Experience.

The three acts performing was part of a free weekly Saturday concert series presented by BET Networks' Music Matters and Baldwin Hills Crenshaw. The series leads up to the Coca-Cola presented BET Experience at L.A. LIVE on June 27-29.

The second annual BET Experience is a three-day celebration of BET artists, featuring concerts with headliners OutKast, Rick Ross, Mary J. Blige and more as well as comedy shows and other events all culminating with the 2014 BET Awards on June 29.

Benét, who is also an actor, has four Grammy Award nominations (2000, 20009 and 2012) and his last album “The One” was released in June 2012.

Day26 won a Black Entertainment Television Award for best group in 2009 and their last full length album “Forever in a Day” (which was also released in 2009) and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts.

Glover won the 12th season of the singing competition “American Idol” and her debut album “Music Speaks” was released in February.
