This image released by HBO shows Matthew McConaughey, left, and Woody Harrelson from the HBO series "True Detective." Both Harrelson and McConaughey were nominated for Emmy Awards for best actor in a drama series for their roles in the series. The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented Aug. 25 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. (AP Photo/HBO, Michele K. Short)
The reason episodes are listed in some places below is that Emmy voters do not have to watch an entire season of a show, only the episodes submitted for consideration. As it turned out, in 15 of the 24 categories my predicted winners were who I preferred. However, as I stated in my article, there were quite a few additional actors and shows I would have had on my list. (No Keri Russell of “The Americans” — you got to be kidding!) So in a perfect world, my awards show would have been different.
