Hollywood industryites and industry-adjacent wannabes clamor for Chef Agostino Sciandri's excellent Italian fare.

The Weinstein brothers and Robert de Niro are among the backers of this sprawling, elegant restaurant; even the open kitchen is framed in marble. Adding to the Italian realness are the thick accents of some of the waiters. Chops, pasta and fish dishes dominate the menu. Favorites include tuna carpaccio and fettuccine with shaved white truffles. The bar, a flirty mob scene on weekends, specializes in peach martinis. Overall, we'd say this place was an investment by de Niro that was much more worthwhile than The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. —Laurie Pike
