VersaillesCheap, mouthwatering Cuban food at its best ![]() Small. Busy. Lines out the door. The pungent smell of garlic wafts through the parking lot. And, upon entrance, sweet, cheap bliss.This is LA's most well-known Cuban eatery, and it makes our mouths water just thinking about it. The menu is large and unwieldy, so take our advice: Roast pork or roast chicken, both of which come with black beans, white rice, tons of onions and sweet fried plantains. That's all you need to know. Well, OK, there are a lot of other options like liver and onions, steak and even a burger—but why go for American diner staples? —Lesley Balla
