In a space that looks massive enough to host a Dodger game, chef Joseph Antonishek serves globally inspired cuisine to an entertainment-starved Glendale crowd not wanting to relocate for the after-dinner portion of the evening.

Our introduction to the stadium space was facilitated by a friendly crop of hot-girl valets; by the time we left, they were navigating around a long line of Asians waiting to enter the nightclub half just inside the lobby. Between those moments, we ignored the red carpet surging through the dining room and the increasingly loud bass from the adjacent party pen—the view from the glass-walled patio, though, is quite nice—to savor an enjoyable, decadent meal from Antonishek. Divided into sushi, robata, fish, meat and steak selections, the menu offers a broad range without slipping into incoherence. We relished the pan-fried lobster on basil mashed potatoes; the arugula salad arrives with grilled Japanese pears and baby grilled-cheese sandwiches. The braised short ribs, so prevalent on new menus of late, escape been-there-done-that status with addictive lobster mashed potatoes; the filet mignon, crusted in hazelnuts and cocoa nibs, was incredibly tender. (Herbivores are sated with the "Vegetarian Box," an assortment including wild mushroom-Humbolt Fog souffl, tomato cappuccino and more.) The large bar area offers respite for those not interested in digesting on a dance floor. —Lonny Pugh
