Buffalo, New York native and Executive Chef Patrick Healy brings his love of mid-century supper clubs—and a laundry list of culinary accolades and awards—to Santa Monica. Youll either love it, hate it or wont be able to find it.

The sign outside may say "The Olympic Club"—or is it Cocktails?—but we swear the Buffalo Club Restaurant and Bar really does exist. This place is 100-percent ambiance: part turn-of-the-century New York chophouse, part stately gentleman's club. Regulars enjoy the dark, sultry vibe, nightly live music and DJ sets. The menu's playful renditions of American supper club fare include the ubiquitous club salad and mini Reuben sandwiches, along with Asian touches like crab cakes with wasabi sauce. Feeling adventurous? Check out the cheese grit fries, but don't admit to your friends how much you liked them. —Amir Kenan
