Fox Sports Sky BoxTimes Square in a box ![]() Tucked between the Fox Sports broadcast booth and Staples Center's Star Plaza entrance, Fox Sports Sky Box is a crowded sports bar whose most utilitarian purpose is as a pre-game meeting point. Because of that, it escapes the themed-restaurant clich by the skin of its teeth. Those who can get over the dishes named after annoying announcers like Terry Bradshaw meet here for a beer or decent sit-down dinner before a game at Staples Center. The menu is typical bar food—fried potato skins, buffalo wings, burgers and fries with a tostada and some pasta thrown in—but offers easily a better meal than what would be strung together in Staples' non-Premier Level concourses. But don't expect a moment's peace: Fox Sports Sky Box is crowded and noisy, and tables are surrounded by TVs and sports tickers. Which is heaven for its intended audience, we suppose.
