Things to do in LA...

HomeYou wish your childhood tasted this good ![]() With a name like Home, this restaurant had better fulfill expectations involving comfort food (yes, there’s meatloaf) and a no-fuss philosophy. At Home, the portions are large and the dishes are playful, with names like Grandpa Jack’s Garden Herb (tuna salad) and The Uncle Billy Bob Cobb Salad. And just like in your real home, you have to pick sides: Dad’s Sides include home fries and apple-smoked bacon; Mom’s Sides are in the muffin and croissant family. And what home is complete without a Pet Monkey (a combination of banana, coconut milk, and chocolate)? Part of the experience at Home is dining on the lush outdoor patio (try to get a seat next to the koi pond), although there’s a cozy indoor area for the sunphobic. And though more than the typical share of celebs has been spotted at this Los Feliz eatery (hey, wasn’t that Morrissey?), the scene is always laid back and the vibe casual. And you don’t even have to finish all your vegetables before dessert. —Amir Kenan
