This is Raymond Chandler territory. A Hollywood landmark since 1919, this place has the old-time feel to which many a newcomer aspires.

More than just a Hollywood landmark, Musso's is a can't-miss spot for a romantic date, especially if you ask for the small booth in the west room (compared to the more open-air east room). Low lighting, wood paneling, snug seating and the house's award-winning martinis all conspire to assist would-be lotharios. Expect brusque service and such old-fashioned favorites as grilled steaks and chops, beef stroganoff, sauerbraten, chicken pot pie, short ribs and cannelloni. All the food is made the old-fashioned way; there are no microwaves in the restaurant.
