This original Chaya has been a Robertson Boulevard staple for Beverly Hills A-listers and entertainment power gurus for more than 20 years.

The always-hopping room is informal yet elegant, with giant bamboo shooting up through the center of the restaurant, and a patio surrounded by walls of flowers. The name itself reflects Chef Shigefumi Tachibe's Japanese/French leanings in terms of cooking and personality, so expect menu items like filet mignon with black truffle sauce or a seaweed salad with ginger-soy vinaigrette. Other members of the classy family include Chaya Venice and the younger hippie sibling M Cafe de Chaya.
