Only in LA can diners be found at which meatloaf and mashed potatoes sit one table down from tofu saut.

The scene and four-page menu attract celebs, artists, local families and health fanatics from the gym across the street. The concept is comfort food with flair, seen in offerings like a turkey burger and onion rings, Creamsicle shakes and Mickey Mouse pancakes. And yes, that pint-sized girl in sunglasses at the next table is probably the same pint-sized girl in sunglasses you just deconstructed in US Weekly. With squeaky-clean Formica countertops (the long bar is a good place for single diners to eat without feeling self-conscious) and flamboyant retro decor (see the Warhol mural of the purple cow), Swingers is the kind of place where the beautiful people come to slum.
