Respectable sushi is served here, though the setting is far from a serene rock garden. But rock it does, like no other Japanese restaurant we know.

The wacky room is situated around a back-lit replica of the Hollywood sign. Sushi chefs dressed in fluorescent green-and-pink coats dance and sing to a deafening, pulsating beat. Diners are encouraged to dance and sing, too—and dance they do, after a few sake bombs. The menu features sushi and other Japanese-inspired fare. It passes muster, but with a scene like this, who cares about the food?
