Housed in the Fine Arts building downtown, Ciao's beautiful interior goes well with its food.

A barrel-vaulted ceiling and mahogany accents set the scene for mouth-watering starters like crisp calamari fritti and tender beef carpaccio. Ciao Trattoria also has an extensive, award-winning wine list. The entrees aren't daring, but there are distinguished classics like gnocchi, fettucine primavera and veal marsala. To finish: the house caramel cheesecake, sprinkled with walnuts and holding surprise bits of apple.
